Happening in the Kmetz Clan
Despite a rough week at work last week, I had a great weekend. Friday afternoon, I was hosted to a decent Chineese buffet by the Lukester and his CSS expense account (unfortunatly the guy didn't give us the usual $1 off for drinking water)! My parents and Danny drove down friday evening and we (Megan, Danny and I) managed to squeeze in some Pirates of the Caribean (Settlers of Catan + Cites & knights) before hitting the sack. Saturday morning was a full round of frisbee golf with Luke, Danny and my Pa. I love the course 21 holes complete with water hazard, cliffs (1 big hill that you work your way around) and trees galore. Without all the greenery of summer we managed to not lose a single disc! That made the pocketbook very happy. Luke and I speculated that were El-Dweek playing, the course would pale in comparison to his epithets. After walking all over downtown and through the Czech-Slovak National history museum cards were the order of the night. I managed to grill some brats, ribs and esperagus and all ate well. Sunday, the time change hit hard and mass seemed to go on forever. My parents left directly after mass and I ran errands (oil change, haircut). The Wunderlichs then showed up late sunday along with a nasty thunderstorm. Both soon passed, and I passed out (with help from the Little Penguin - $5 wine with a "cute" label).
This morning I learned the true value of a sledgehammer. I had a flat tire, so I jacked up the car and removed some lugnuts, but the old rim wouldn't be budged. The solution ended up being to hammer on the rim repeatedly with a hammer until it cooperates. Hey, if it works for my car, maybe it will work for the computer too =)
